"The economy is growing at a very fast pace; the process of recovery is underway, but we have already exceeded the expectations - the pre-pandemic level of economic activity in 2019," - Natia Turnava, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, said at a briefing held after the government session.
According to the Minister, on the one hand, it is very good, but at the same time it means an increase in electricity consumption.
"Therefore, of course, our task is to cover this increased electricity consumption through our own sources so that the local businesses and the population consume locally produced and not imported electricity," - Natia Turnava stated.
