At the meeting, priority areas of bilateral cooperation were discussed, including bilateral trade, investments, agriculture, transport and logistics, energy, tourism and other fields. Fruitful cooperation between the countries in the field of culture was also emphasized.
Special attention was paid to Georgia's steps towards integration into the Euro-Atlantic structures. It was said that Italy supports this aspiration of Georgia.
Edmondo Cirielli also positively noted the role of Georgia in promoting peace negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. At the meeting, it was emphasized that intensive cooperation with the Italian side would continue in terms of further deepening of cooperation in the field of economy.
