Priority areas of bilateral economic cooperation were discussed at the meeting. The positive impact of the free trade regime on bilateral trade was particularly emphasized. It was noted that in 2022, trade turnover between Georgia and Switzerland increased by 30%, and exports - by 21%.
The attention focused on the long-term cooperation opportunities in sectors including energy, agriculture, education, transport and logistics.
The officials noted the importance of resuming direct flights between Georgia and Switzerland for developing business relations and deepening cooperation in tourism.
