Levan Davitashvili, Georgia’s First Vice Prime Minister and Economy Minister, has expressed “high expectations” regarding the potential reset of relations between Georgia and the United States. Speaking about the prospects of cooperation with the new administration, Davitashvili underscored the importance of fostering open communication and information exchange to strengthen bilateral ties.
The Minister highlighted the detrimental effects of political and social polarization on Georgia’s economic development. He emphasized that while constructive dialogues, such as those held with the business community, are essential, they alone are insufficient to mitigate the broader challenges facing the nation.
Davitashvili stressed the urgency of stabilizing the current situation to enable the country’s return to a sustainable development trajectory. “The only solution to this is dialogue and reducing this degree of polarization in society,” he remarked, underscoring the need for collective efforts to foster unity and economic resilience.
