“Georgia will be one of the first countries in the region to start negotiating on a free trade agreement with the United Arab Emirates. It is important that the talks will start without a special study, because given the trade and economic trends between the countries, it is clear that the free trade will benefit both sides,” - the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Natia Turnava, stated after a meeting at the UAE Ministry of Economy.

It was noted at the meeting that the trade dynamics between Georgia and the United Arab Emirates is growing.

"We had a meeting with a large trade network of Emirates, which imports products from Georgia, therefore, has a positive experience of cooperation with Georgian producers and, most importantly, the volume of Georgian, especially agro-industrial products, grows every year in its trade network. I think that the implementation of the free trade agreement with the United Arab Emirates will make it possible for more Georgian products to be presented in the UAE market," - Natia Turnava said.
