The Georgian Economy Minister Levan Davitashvili and Artur Lorkowski, the Director of Energy Community, discussed ongoing and planned reforms in the country’s energy sector, the Ministry said.
Key topics of the meeting included the transitional model of day-ahead and daily markets, separation of transmission system operators, and harmonization of Georgian legislation with the EU regulations.
The Black Sea submarine cable project, aimed at connecting the Georgian electric power grid with the European system, was also discussed.
It was highlighted that Georgia would assume the presidency of the Energy Community next year, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the organization.
