
The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Levan Davitashvili met with the Economic Growth Office Director, USAID/Georgia Marika Olson, the Head of USAID Economic Security Program Mark McCord and other representatives of the program.
The Deputy Economy Ministers Irakli Nadareishvili and Mariam Kvrivishvili, as well as the Head of the National Tourism Administration of Georgia, Maia Omiadze, the Director of the Enterprise Georgia Agency, Mikheil Khidureli, and the Director of the Technology and Innovations Agency, Avtandil Kasradze, also participated in the meeting.
At the meeting, Levan Davitashvili thanked the US government and the American people, who, through the USAID and the Economic Security Program, contribute to the development of Georgia's economy, overcoming the challenges created by the pandemic and other global events.
The projects that were implemented by various structural subdivisions of the Economy Ministry with the support of the USAID Economic Security Program were discussed. Among them, in such sectors as tourism, innovations, investment attraction, export promotion, entrepreneurship development, digitalization, transport, etc.
