Deputy Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili and Ambassador of Georgia to Hungary Tamar Liluashvili also attended the meeting.

The current situation in the civil aviation market of Georgia was discussed at the meeting. The Vice Prime Minister informed the head of the Hungarian airline company about the planned reconstruction works at the Kutaisi International Airport, where the Hungarian airline company is based.
It was noted that 3.5 km will be put into operation in the Kutaisi airport in 18 months. A long, wide runway that will be able to serve aircraft of any size and will create the possibility of receiving more flights.

Attention was also paid to the trends of rapid recovery of aviation field in Georgia, which had a positive impact on the development of the tourism sector in the country. The number of direct flights and destinations with the EU countries is a priority direction of the Georgian government.
At the meeting, the parties discussed and agreed on the joint development of programs to promote the employment of Georgian citizens in WizzAir. Due to the fact that the Hungarian airline is one of the major employers in the global aviation industry, joint projects will be developed, which, on the one hand, will contribute to the development of professional education in the Georgian aviation industry, and on the other hand, will give Georgian citizens the opportunity to be employed in such large airlines as WizzAir
At the meeting, the activity of the airline in Georgia was positively assessed. The airline management noted that the Kutaisi route is one of the most successful for WizzAir, from which the passenger flow has already exceeded the 2019 figure.
It was said that WizzAir occupies a leading position in the Georgian aviation market in terms of passenger transportation. Attention was paid to the issue of adding a fourth base aircraft of the Hungarian airline to the Kutaisi airport.
