“The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Levan Davitashvili met with China’s Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy International Trade Representative Ling Ji,” - the Ministry of Economy reports.
The priority areas of economic cooperation between the two countries were discussed at the meeting.
The meeting, according to their addresses, will assist in the transfer of bilateral ties between the nations to a new stage, as well as the expansion of economic cooperation in many domains.
The parties covered topics linked to investments, innovation, technology, transport, and logistics, as well as potential cooperation in the agricultural sector. Tourism collaboration was also highlighted during the commission meeting, according to Davitashvili.
The parties noted that Georgia’s visa waiver for Chinese visitors would allow more Chinese tourists to visit the nation and restore flying frequency.
Davitashvili went on to say that all of this would enhance tourist traffic and generate more revenue for the economy.
At the end of the meeting, the co-chairmen signed the protocol, reflecting the priority areas of bilateral economic cooperation.
The next session of the commission will be held in Georgia.
