Georgian economy grows 10.3% in August

The estimated real gross domestic product (GDP) growth rate in August 2021 amounted to 10.3% year-on-year and 12% in January-August of 2021 year-on-year, show preliminary data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
According to Geostat, in August 2021, compared to the same period of the previous year, the economic growth was seen in areas such as manufacturing, financial and insurance activities, trade, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, hotels and restaurants, transportation and storage, arts, entertainment and recreation.
A decline was registered in construction, mining and quarrying.
