Solomon Pavliashvili spoke about the projects implemented in the direction of waste management and drew attention to the importance of developing waste management code, waste management strategy and action plan documents.
"Sustainable waste management and development is one of the priority directions of the government. Our goal is to promote the introduction of circular economy principles in the country, which, in turn, is a tool for implementing the green economy model and a high standard of waste management," -Solomon Pavliashvili said.
The conversation touched upon the importance of strengthening the agricultural laboratory and encouraging waste processing enterprises to determine the compliance of eco-friendly technologies in the country.
It should be noted that the Metrology Institute of Germany (PTB), within the framework of international cooperation, has been implementing metrology, standardization, accreditation, conformity assessment and other projects in Georgia for several decades.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of the relevant service of the Ministry.
