
The Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Mariam Kvrivishvili met with the representatives of Wizz Air and discussed with them the priority areas of further cooperation.
Irakli Karkashadze, the Director of the United Airports of Georgia, also attended the meeting.
"At the meeting, attention was paid to the technical details of the airline's operation at the Kutaisi International Airport and the possibilities of WizzAir's further expansion. The airline's return to the third base at the Kutaisi International Airport from June 1 and the launch of regular flights to Madrid, Brussels, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Poznań were positively evaluated.
Currently, the airline already has two aircraft based at the Kutaisi International Airport and operates flights to 22 destinations. The possibility of adding new European destinations by the airline was discussed at the meeting.
