
The Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Romeo Mikautadze is participating in the 4th meeting of the Regional Assembly of the European Union for Environment (EU4Environment). In his speech, the Deputy Minister positively assessed the importance of the EU4Environment program for Georgia and focused on the development of the green economy.
Romeo Mikautadze identified the priority directions, such as introduction of resource-efficient and clean production practices and green innovations in small and medium-sized enterprises, development of green growth indicators, etc. He spoke in detail about the decisions implemented in Georgia for sustainable and inclusive development of the country.
The EU4Environment program helps the 6 countries of the Eastern Partnership of the European Union (Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Belarus) to develop a green economy, introduce such management and economic development mechanisms that will reduce the risks of environmental impact and promote the preservation of natural resources and the ecological well-being of the population.
