
The Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Genadi Arveladze is participating in the 13th ministerial meeting of the World Trade Organization (WTO), which is taking place in the United Arab Emirates, namely, in Abu Dhabi.
In his address to the participants of the ministerial meeting, the Deputy Minister drew attention to the current economic challenges faced by the world and noted that against this background, the smooth operation of the multilateral international trade system, which is ensured by the universal rules developed within the framework of the World Trade Organization, is very important.
According to him, Georgia is also positively considering the issue of joining the Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies.
It should be noted that the ministerial agenda is devoted to such important issues as development of trade and investments, promotion of small and medium entrepreneurship development, e-commerce, topics related to agriculture, subsidies in the field of fisheries, internal regulation in the field of services and other essential matters.
