According to the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili, intensive negotiations with the German airline have been going on for almost a year, which, despite the pandemic, have been successfully completed.

"This will operate direct flights from another European city to Georgia, which will make it easier for potential tourists to come to our country from the EU. For us, Germany, like other European countries, is a strategically important direction. That's why we always work proactively to make as many airlines as possible get interested in the Georgian market and add more routes to the direction of the Federal Republic of Germany. We continue to work with other European airlines to operate direct flights to Georgia. This will help increase the inflow of tourist with high-paying ability to Georgia and the rapid recovery of the local aviation market," - the Deputy Economy Minister said.

Condor Airlines was founded in 1955. Its main base is located at the Frankfurt Airport. As of July 2021, the airline owns 50 Boeing and Airbus aircraft. Condor operates flights to the Mediterranean countries, Asia, Africa, North and South America.
