The Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Mariam Kvrivishvili met with the Lithuanian Ambassador to Georgia Andrius Kalindra.
The issues of cooperation between the two countries in such priority sectors as tourism and civil aviation were discussed at the meeting.
It was noted that cooperation between Georgia and Lithuania in the field of tourism is developing rapidly, which is facilitated by the existence of direct air traffic between Vilnius and Kutaisi. At the same time, it was emphasized that the start of regular flights from Lithuania to Tbilisi will contribute to the further development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism.
„Lithuania is one of the important target markets for Georgian tourism, where marketing activities are regularly carried out. We have good dynamics of restoration of tourist flows with Lithuania. In order to continue this trend, it is important to increase both flight frequencies and open flights to new destinations. The increase in activity in this regard will also contribute to the deepening of business relations between the two countries. We welcome Lithuanian visitors to Georgia and we will be happy if even more direct flights between the countries are scheduled," said Mariam Kvrivishvili.
It was also noted at the meeting that the increase in the number of direct flights would have a positive impact on the economic cooperation of the two countries.
