The Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Irakli Nadareishvili met with the Ambassador of the State of Israel to Georgia Hadas Meitzad. The Chairman of Georgia's Technology and Innovations Agency Avtandil Kasradze, also participated in the meeting.
Possibilities of rapprochement of innovative ecosystems of the two countries were discussed at the meeting, among them the sharing of experience from the Israeli side, so that the startups of the two countries, as a result of cooperation, can more easily enter the global market.
The Deputy Minister also informed the Ambassador of the state of Israel about the ongoing reform for the development of the information technology ecosystem, by which international IT companies, in case of operating in Georgia, received a number of tax and other types of benefits. According to him, dozens of international technological companies, including the Israeli ones, are already using this model.
The meeting also discussed the issue of deepening cooperation and sharing experience in the direction of international business interest in local scientific technologies, which the State of Israel is successfully implementing.
