The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Iuri Nozadze, attended the international conference on grape and wine industries, the Third China (Ningxia) International Wine Culture and Tourism Expo Press Conference in the People's Republic of China, and took part in parallel forums.
Among the high-ranking hosts of the conference and exhibition were the Ministries of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Industry and Information Technology, Culture and Tourism, as well as the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the People's Government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region; The co-host was the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV).
The events were held at the Yinchuan International Convention and Exhibition Center.
The third international exhibition of wine culture and tourism, the theme of which was "nature, innovation, culture and ecology", was attended by participants from 42 countries; Among them were 1500 dealers and more than 500 guests - politicians, representatives of academic and business circles.
As part of the event, Deputy Minister Iuri Nozadze made a speech at a high-level dialogue session and spoke about trade and economic ties between China and Georgia, the growing export of Georgian products to the Chinese market, including Georgian wine, and scientific and research cooperation in the agricultural direction. The Deputy Minister expressed hope that the further cooperation between the two countries in the wine industry would take on even greater dimensions.
Iuri Nozadze was also invited as the guest of honor to be the main speaker at the forum, where he talked in detail about the characteristics of Georgia's natural terroir - viticulture zones, the long, 8000-year history of winemaking, grape varieties and the process of making wine in Kvevri [pitcher]. The Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia thanked the Georgian Wine Promotion Center of the National Research Institute of Food and Fermentation Industries of China for its special contribution to the promotion of Georgian wine in the Chinese market over the years.
Within the framework of the visit, Iuri Nozadze held a meeting with the president of "Concours Mondial Bruxelles" company Baudouin Havaux, also gave an interview to the CCTV publishing house, visited the Georgian grape variety nursery founded in 2015.
