The Georgian National Film Center presented a Georgian stand at the 26th Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) Market. The stand presented by the Film Center at the market with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports presents the richest heritage of the Georgian cinema, modern Georgian films and promotes Georgia as an important country for film shooting.

As the Georgian National Film Center reported, the 26th Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) will be held within the period of June 14-23, and the film market was held on June 16-18 as part of this most important film event in Asia. The members of the Georgian delegation held a number of important meetings at the film festival.

The representatives of the Georgian delegation discussed the issue of placing Georgian short films on the streaming platform Hi-Video and purchasing full-length films with the founder and general director of Beijing Goobird Technology Sun Bing. The conversation also touched on the presentation of the Georgian films at the company's film festival. International sales manager of Lianray pictures, met with the Georgian directors and representatives of the film center, who expressed his desire to distribute the Georgian films to China and purchase full-length films.

The meeting was held with the assistant producer of the South Korean content and creative company Moo am, who expressed his desire to create co-production and Georgian adaptations of Korean scenarios, as well as to introduce Korean reality shows in Georgia.

Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) is the largest film festival in Asia and the longest-running international film festival in China. Established in October 1993, it is the only Chinese festival accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF), which is responsible for organizing international film festivals, including the most important festivals in the world.
