Georgian Defense Minister: Lloyd Austin’s visit to Georgia is historic and it is a very clear message to the Georgian people

“A high-level visit has started today. This underscores once again the stage of our relationship with our strategic partner," – the Defense Minister, Juansher Burchuladze, said while assessing the visit of his American counterpart, Lloyd Austin, to Georgia.
According to him, within the frames of the visit, a meeting will be held to discuss strategic plans and future cooperation.
"We will sign a document to further strengthen cooperation. We will also visit one of the military bases. Lloyd Austin’s visit to Georgia is historic and it is a very clear message to the Georgian people," – the Defense Minister declared.
The US Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, arrived in Georgia this morning.
