The Minister remarked that NATO’s open-door policy is of utmost importance amid Russia’s increased military aggression in the region. He added Georgia continues strengthening its defence capabilities and cooperability with the alliance’s defence forces with NATO support.
The parties also spoke about Georgia’s participation in strategic discussions and the international peacekeeping missions.
"Within the framework of the NATO Ministerial, we held individual meetings with my colleagues, as well as with the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee. He is the top military person in NATO, and a great friend of Georgia; we talked about our strategic plans; of course, we are united in all principle matters. NATO will not back down from its goals and decisions, as well as our unwavering decision is to become a full member of the European family," - Burchuladze said.
