The Georgian Defence Minister Juansher Burchuladze hosted Zhou Qian, the newly appointed Ambassador of China. At the introductory meeting, the head of the Defence Ministry wished the newly appointed ambassador good luck and expressed hope that the fruitful cooperation between Georgia and China will continue in the future.
The issues of restoration and development of bilateral cooperation in the field of defence prior to the coronavirus pandemic were discussed at the meeting. Attention was paid to the prospects of cooperation in the field of military education. The conversation also touched upon the current processes in the region. The Chinese Ambassador once again expressed his support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia.
