The President of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Giorgi Pertaia, hosted the President of Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry and large Turkish companies.

At the meeting, the parties discussed bilateral trade and economic relations and issues of cooperation between the countries in the field of investment. 

The president of the chamber emphasized the importance of direct flights between Tbilisi and Trabzon.

Giorgi Pertaia noted that Turkey ranked first among the largest trade partners of Georgia, therefore the country was one of the important trade partners for Georgia. 

The president of the chamber discussed the investment environment of the country with the participants of the meeting, as well as priority investment sectors for Georgia. In addition, the issues of rapprochement of the Georgian and Turkish businesses and the experience of business forums between the two countries were emphasized in terms of deepening business relations and cooperation.

Within the framework of the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Georgia and Trabzon.

As part of the visit, bilateral business meetings were held between the Georgian and Turkish business circles, where business companies of both countries were given the opportunity to discuss the further cooperation prospects.
