“Beginning September 30, 2024, Georgian citizens will be permitted to travel to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China without the need for a visa,” - the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia announced.

According to the ministry, Georgian citizens can stay in Hong Kong for up to 30 consecutive days under this visa-free agreement. This development comes after extensive negotiations between Georgia and Hong Kong.

It is worth noting that a visa-free regime between Georgia and the People’s Republic of China has been in place since May 28, 2024. However, as a special administrative region, Hong Kong maintains its own independent immigration and visa policies.
