"Georgia’s capital Tbilisi is set to host a legends’ match between former players of the national team of Georgia and AC Milan," - the Tbilisi City Hall said.
Set to be hosted on September 21 at the Mikheil Meskhi Stadium with the support of the City Hall and Georgian Football Federation, it comes after an agreement involving the Federation and Fondazione Milan, signed on August 8 in the Italian city, with Kakha Kaladze, the Mayor of Tbilisi and former player of the national team and the club, in attendance.
Kaladze, who played for Milan between 2001-2010, called the match a celebration for the national football team and its supporters.
Davit Mujiri, the GFF General Secretary also noted the Georgian team would be coached for the game by Temur Ketsbaia, the former Newcastle United midfielder and ex-head coach of the national squad, and involve Kaladze and other former players, while the Milan team would feature Kaká, Serginho, Rivaldo, Clarence Seedorf and Cafu, among others.
