The Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili met with the Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov on the sidelines of the European Political Community Summit in Spain to discuss cooperation between the countries and future cooperation perspectives.
The Government Administration announced Gharibashvili informed Denkov about the “positive steps” taken on the path of Georgia's European integration.
Gharibashvili emphasized that Georgia’s integration into the European Union was the choice of the Georgian people and the main priority of the Georgian Government's foreign policy.
The meeting noted that trade and economy remained one of the important areas of bilateral cooperation over the years, as Bulgaria constantly remained in the top 10 trade partners of Georgia.
The Administration said Gharibashvili thanked his Bulgarian counterpart for the firm support of Bulgaria in the direction of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia, as well as the country's European integration.
