
Georgia’s Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili and President of the National Bank of Georgia Natia Turnava held a concluding meeting with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission delegation led by Alejandro Hajdenberg.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the discussions focused on fiscal and monetary policy, the current economic situation, and medium-term forecasts. The IMF mission highlighted Georgia’s strong economic growth, declining unemployment, and stable macroeconomic indicators.
The mission also welcomed the government’s initiative to reform state-owned enterprises and strengthen financial supervision. Participants additionally discussed preparations for IMF Article IV consultations, scheduled for March 2026.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Finance Ministers Giorgi Kakauridze and Ekaterine Guntsadze, National Bank Vice Presidents Ekaterine Mikabadze and Ekaterine Galdava, and Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Vakhtang Tsintsadze.
