
Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili held a phone conversation with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, initiated by the Armenian side, the Georgian Foreign Ministry announced.
The discussion focused on the landmark agreement on establishing peace and interstate relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, signed on August 8, 2025, in Washington. Botchorishvili congratulated her Armenian counterpart on the “historic” accord, emphasizing its significance for promoting long-term peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
Reaffirming Georgia’s commitment to regional peacebuilding, the Georgian Foreign Minister expressed the country’s readiness to support and contribute to enhanced regional cooperation.
In addition to regional developments, the two ministers also discussed bilateral cooperation between Georgia and Armenia, underscoring the importance of continued diplomatic engagement and mutual support.
