
Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili met with Acting Foreign Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Le Hoai Truong, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly to explore avenues for enhanced cooperation between the two countries.
According to Georgia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the discussions focused on expanding ties in key sectors such as trade, investment, tourism, economy, and logistics. Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening high-level contacts and improving the legal framework to support bilateral relations.
Cooperation in multilateral formats was also highlighted, along with a shared commitment to peace and stability. Minister Bochorishvili expressed gratitude to Vietnam for its support of Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The ministers welcomed the decision to open a Georgian Embassy in Vietnam, noting it would serve as a catalyst for further deepening bilateral relations.
The meeting concluded with both sides expressing readiness to continue working together and advance cooperation across multiple sectors.
