
During the spring session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, the Georgian parliamentary delegation met with their Spanish counterparts to discuss enhancing bilateral parliamentary cooperation, according to the Georgian Parliament.
The meeting emphasized the importance of deepening legislative ties between Georgia and Spain, while also reviewing Georgia’s progress on its path toward Euro-Atlantic integration.
Key regional security challenges were discussed, with the Georgian side highlighting the ongoing issues in the Russian-occupied territories. The delegation expressed appreciation for Spain’s continued and unwavering support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to productive collaboration within the framework of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
The Georgian delegation was represented by Givi Mikanadze, Head of the Delegation and Chairman of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee; Levan Makhashvili, Chairman of the European Integration Committee; and Mariam Lashkhi, First Deputy Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee.
