The delegation of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Georgian Parliament, led by the chairman of the committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze, paid a visit to Portugal. Within the framework of the official visit, the delegation members met with the Vice-President of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Portuguese Parliament, Carlos Eduardo Reyes.

The parties discussed the existing cooperation between Georgia and Portugal and the possibilities of deepening bilateral parliamentary relations, as well as the current events and security challenges in the region.

At the meeting with the Portuguese colleagues, the parties talked about the current internal political situation in Georgia, the pre-election environment and the steps taken by the country in terms of the European integration and the implemented reforms. The Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations and the Head of the Permanent Delegation of the Georgian Parliament to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Nikoloz Samkharadze, participated in the Parliamentary Conference on Security in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, which was organized by the Portuguese delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
