During the U.S. session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, the Georgian parliamentary delegation met with representatives from North Macedonia, as reported by the Georgian Parliament’s press service.
The talks focused on enhancing both bilateral and multilateral cooperation aimed at promoting peace and stability in the region.
North Macedonia reaffirmed its firm support for Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations and expressed a willingness to share its own experience with NATO integration. The North Macedonian side also provided insights into NATO’s current positions on key security issues, including developments in Ukraine, challenges posed by Russia, and broader regional threats.
The Georgian delegation was represented by Givi Mikanadze, Head of the Delegation and Chairman of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee; Levan Makhashvili, Chairman of the European Integration Committee; and Mariam Lashkhi, First Deputy Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee.
