
During a visit to Geneva, Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili met with Faisal Al-Fayez, President of the Senate of Jordan, to discuss the ongoing partnership and cooperation between Georgia and Jordan.
Speaker Papuashvili expressed appreciation for Jordan’s decision to allocate a plot of land for the construction of a Georgian Cultural Center, underscoring the gesture as a symbol of deepening bilateral relations.
The meeting also covered the situation in Georgia’s Russian-occupied territories, with President Al-Fayez expressing interest in the current developments. Both leaders emphasized the importance of maintaining strong and friendly ties to promote peace and stability in the region, especially amid growing geopolitical challenges.
Papuashvili, alongside Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chair of Georgia’s Foreign Relations Committee, participated in the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) conference in Geneva. As part of the visit, they engaged in several high-level meetings with parliamentary leaders from around the world.
