The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the United States, Tamar Taliashvili, met with U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R–KY), Chair of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. Senator Paul also serves as Ranking Member of the Foreign Relations, Health, Labor and Pensions, and Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committees.

According to a statement released by the Embassy of Georgia in the United States, the meeting focused on opportunities to further strengthen U.S.–Georgia relations. The discussion also covered regional developments, the importance of peace initiatives, and key issues on the international agenda.
