
Georgia’s Ambassador to the United States, Tamar Taliashvili, took part in a high-level meeting of the Organization of American States (OAS), where the organization’s newly elected Secretary General, Albert Ramdin, outlined strategic priorities for 2025–2030. His agenda emphasized multidimensional security, integrated development, the strengthening of democracy, and the protection of human rights.
In her address, Ambassador Taliashvili underscored that fostering cooperation with American states remains a core pillar of Georgia’s foreign policy. She highlighted the OAS as a key platform for advancing these relationships and enhancing diplomatic engagement.
The Ambassador also extended congratulations to Secretary General Ramdin on his election and expressed her best wishes for his tenure. As part of the proceedings, Taliashvili formally presented a note of accreditation to Ramdin, reaffirming Georgia’s status as a permanent observer within the organization.
