At the invitation of the U.S. Secretary of State, Georgia’s Ambassador to the United States, Tamar Taliashvili, attended a reception at the State Department, the Georgian Embassy reported.

Hosted by Deputy Secretary Michael Rigas in the Benjamin Franklin State Dining Room, the event honored Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I. It brought together officials from the Trump Administration, State Department, religious leaders, and diplomats.

Ambassador Taliashvili met with newly appointed USCIRF Chair Vicky Hartzler, emphasizing the importance of strengthening future cooperation.
