
The representatives of the aviation authorities of Georgia and the Republic of Turkey have successfully completed negotiations on the renewal of the annex to the existing agreement on air traffic between the two countries. From the side of Georgia, the relevant memorandum was signed by the Director of Georgian Civil Aviation Agency Givi Davitashvili.

According to the updated annex within the framework of the memorandum, Georgian airlines will have the right to make unlimited regular flights to any city in Turkey.
Until now, regular flights were only possible to Istanbul, Antalya, Ankara and Trabzon. As for the airlines of the Turkish side, within the framework of both the predecessor and the updated agreement, they have the opportunity to carry out regular air traffic in the direction of all three international airports of Georgia.
The opening of all international airports in Turkey will ensure new opportunities for Georgian airlines in terms of carrying out passenger and cargo operations.
The negotiations between the representatives of the aviation authorities of Georgia and the Republic of Turkey were held in the city of Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as part of the ongoing international civil aviation negotiations (ICAN 2023) under the auspices of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). ICAN 2023 in Saudi Arabia will continue until December 7.
