“Georgian Airlines plans to expand its fleet with three more cargo planes - Boeing B737-800. The airline is also looking for a B767 aircraft,” - Irakli Mezvrishvili, Managing Director of Georgian Airlines, told the publication “Ch-aviation”.
As it is known, Georgian Airlines ("Georgian Airlines") currently owns one aircraft (Boeing 737-86N), on which it received the certificate of the aircraft exploiter from the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency on January 28, while on February 4, it became the holder of an air transportation certificate. It should be noted that the Boeing 737-86N, with its registration number 4L-IGT, was released in 2000 and operated by the Italian airline Alitalia.
Georgian Airlines will initially be engaged in freight transportation, but in the future, along with the expansion of activities and increasing demand, it also plans to enter the passenger transport segment.
