The Minister of Environment proteqction and Agriculture of Georgia Otar Shamugia met with the Regional Director for Sustainable Development at the World Bank's Europe and Central Asia region, Sameh Wahba.
As the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia reported, the parties discussed the current projects and prospects of further cooperation at the meeting.
The conversation touched upon the issues of deepening cooperation in the direction of development of irrigation systems, sustainable land management and mitigation of climate change.
Otar Shamugia thanked the World Bank team for the close and effective cooperation for many years.
According to Sameh Wahba, Georgia is a reliable partner for the World Bank and active cooperation will continue in the future.
The meeting held at the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture was attended by the World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus, Sebastian Molineus, the First Deputy Finance Minister, Giorgi Khanishvili, and the Heads of the relevant departments and agencies of the Ministry.
