Within the framework of the exhibition, organized by the Enterprise Georgia Agency, Georgia is represented in several pavilions,” - the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia reports.
"The cooperation between the People's Republic of China and Georgia is very close and fruitful. The strategic partnership initiative announced during the visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia in the summer of this year, which will raise the relations between our countries to an even higher level, should be emphasized. The efforts of the governments of both countries to deepen cooperation are important, however, the activity and initiatives of private companies play an important role in this process," - Otar Shamugia said.
Otar Shamugia hosted the Deputy Minister of Commerce of the People's Republic of China Ling Ji at the Georgian Pavilion. According to the Deputy Minister, the visit of the Georgian delegation to the exhibition, at such a high level, confirms the strategic partnership and provides a basis for closer cooperation. The Deputy Minister expressed the readiness of the Chinese side to promote the deepening of trade relations, especially the export of Georgian wine to the Chinese market.
About 40 Georgian companies are participating in the exhibition China International Import Expo (CIIE) organized by the Enterprise Georgia Agency operating under the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia. The export products of the beneficiaries of the agency are introduced to international visitors, which is a good opportunity to establish connections with large international companies. Georgian wine, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, agricultural products, leather goods and accessories, children's clothes are presented at the exhibition.
In order to increase the awareness of Georgia, the national pavilion presents information stands of various state agencies, including: the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency, the National Tourism Administration of Georgia, the National Wine Agency of Georgia, the Mountain Trails Agency and the Georgian Railway. The visitors of the National Pavilion will be introduced to the tourism, investment and transport potential of Georgia through videos and information brochures.
The Georgian delegation, together with the Minister of Agriculture Otar Shamugia, the Deputy Ministers of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Genadi Arveladze and Irakli Nadareishvili, as well as the Georgian parliamentary delegation consisting of Gela Samkharauli and Zaal Dugladze; the director of the Enterprise Georgia Agency Mikheil Khidureli and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the People's Republic of China, Archil Kalandia, represented the event.
Government and business delegations from more than 150 countries participate in the largest international import exhibition in the city of Shanghai. The number of visitors to the exhibition reaches 700,000.
