
The Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia Otar Shamugia met with the members of the delegation of the Ministry of Environment Protection of the Republic of Korea.
The delegation was led by Shin Soo-Jin, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Korea for Water Resources Management.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the current and further cooperation opportunities between the countries.
The Minister thanked the government of the Republic of Korea for the support provided in the direction of agriculture and environment in the country and drew attention to the importance of sharing Korea's experience in terms of sustainable management of water resources.
The conversation also touched on the issues of deepening cooperation in the direction of introduction of modern technologies in the field of protected areas, growth of Georgian wine export and sustainable water management.
According to Shin Soo-Jin, Georgia is a reliable and interesting partner for the Republic of Korea, which is an important prerequisite for deepening cooperation.
Within the framework of the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and the Ministry of Environment Protection of the Republic of Korea in order to ensure sustainable management of water resources in the country.
The memorandum was signed by First Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture Nino Tandilashvili and Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Korea for Water Resources Management Shin Soo-Jin. The meeting was attended by the heads of relevant departments of the Ministry.
