
Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Davit Songulashvili is currently on a working visit to Rome, where he is participating in the 44th session of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Conference.
According to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Minister Songulashvili will deliver an official address during the conference and hold a bilateral meeting with FAO Director-General QU Dongyu.
“The conference serves as a key platform for ministers and senior officials from FAO member states to exchange views on global agricultural challenges and explore strategies for joint action in rural development,” the Ministry noted.
The 44th FAO Conference brings together representatives from all 194 member states, including around 50 ministers. This year’s central theme focuses on the state of agri-food systems and the potential for international cooperation. The event will also include a series of thematic panel discussions.
Minister Songulashvili is accompanied by Deputy Minister Lasha Dolidze during the visit.
