David Songulashvili, the Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Georgia, and Ashot Smbatyan, the Armenian Ambassador to Georgia, met on Friday to discuss the existing cooperation between their two nations and explore opportunities for its further development.
The meeting focused on enhancing trade and economic relations, with particular attention given to sectors such as sustainable water resource management, winemaking, agrotourism, and aquaculture, according to the Ministry's statement.
Both parties emphasized the importance of sharing expertise and experiences to strengthen collaboration in these areas.
Ambassador Smbatyan congratulated Minister Songulashvili on his recent appointment, describing Georgia as a "friendly" country to Armenia. He also expressed Armenia's "steadfast readiness" for fostering "multilateral" and "effective" cooperation between the two nations.
