Eka Chavleishvili won the Dublin Film Critics Circle Awards for her role in the film Shashvi Shashvi Maq’vali (Blackbird Blackbird Blackberry) directed by Elene Naveriani. The actress won in the nomination – the best actress.

So far, Eka Chavleishvili has been named the best actress at the Sarajevo, Belfast, Gijón and Cottbus International Film Festivals. She was also nominated for the European Film Awards.

Shashvi Shashvi Maq’vali is the third full-length film by Elene Naveriani, which premiered at this year's Cannes Film Festival in the independent section - Quinzaine des cinéastes.

The film won the main prize at the Sarajevo Film Festival, and also won prizes at the Cottbus and Gijón Film Festivals.

Currently, Shashvi Shashvi Maq’vali is shortlisted for the Swiss Film Awards in four categories: Best International Feature Film, Best Sound, Best Screenplay and Best Film Editing. The award ceremony will be held on March 22 in Zurich.
