During the IMF and World Bank annual meetings, Georgia’s Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili and National Bank President Natia Turnava met with Antonella Bassani, World Bank Vice President for Europe and Central Asia.
The discussion focused on current and upcoming World Bank–backed projects in Georgia, including road infrastructure, connectivity, and human capital development. The Finance Ministry noted that Minister Khutsishvili also presented Georgia’s macroeconomic outlook, highlighting the World Bank’s recent upward revision of Georgia’s growth forecast to 7%.
Vice President Bassani reaffirmed the World Bank’s commitment to supporting Georgia’s sustainable economic development.
The meeting was also attended by Roland Price, Regional Director for the South Caucasus, along with senior Georgian officials and Ambassador Tamar Taliashvili.
