The President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili issued a statement regarding the 2008 Russo-Georgian War and declared that the aggressor and occupier Russia had occupied the territories of Georgia even 15 years after the war.
According to Salome Zurabishvili, Georgia will still follow its European path.
"Russia is an aggressor and occupier. After 15 years since 2008, it still occupies 20 percent of our territories and violates all international principles. Georgia will continue moving forward on the European path, we will peacefully restore territorial integrity and prove our strength against any destabilization attempts," Salome Zurabishvili wrote on Twitter.
To be reminded, 15 years have passed since the the 2008 Russo-Georgian War. More than 400 people were killed, up to 2,000 were wounded and 130,000 were internally displaced - this is the result of the Russian aggression.
