The Georgian Ministry of Justice echoed the judgement of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in the Georgia vs Russia case, ruling multiple violations of the European Convention.

“Georgia triumphed a historic victory against Russia in the so-called continuous occupation case,” - the Ministry said.

The Strasbourg-based European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) published its judgement in the case of Georgia vs Russia. ECHR ruled on multiple violations of the European Convention concerning the human rights toll caused by the hardening of boundary lines after the 2008 conflict.
