The 2025 ISU World Team Trophy in figure skating will take place in Tokyo, Japan, from April 17 to 20, bringing together the top six nations in the sport for a thrilling team-based showdown.
Held every two years, the World Team Trophy is a prestigious international competition organized by the International Skating Union (ISU). Countries qualify based on cumulative results in the ISU world rankings throughout the season. Each national team is made up of two men, two women, one pair team, and one ice dance duo. Skaters compete in their individual disciplines, with their placements contributing to the team’s total score.
This year marks a historic milestone for Georgia, which will compete in the World Team Trophy for the first time. The Georgian team joins five of the world’s figure skating powerhouses: the United States, Japan, Canada, France, and Italy.
