Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced that all future gasification projects in Georgia will be implemented using underground pipelines to protect the visual landscape of towns and villages.

He highlighted that above-ground gas pipes currently disrupt the appearance of many settlements. “We want to introduce a new standard,” Kobakhidze said, adding that while replacing existing infrastructure will take time, all new projects will follow the underground model.

The move aims to modernize infrastructure and ensure more visually harmonious development across the country.
