
Georgia is a host country of the World Tourism Day in 2024. This title was given to our country in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
"The European countries that are members of the UN World Tourism Organization expressed their unanimous support to us, and as a result, on the World Tourism Day, Georgia was given the title of a host country of the World Tourism Day 2024. With this, Georgia has gained great recognition once again," - the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Mariam Kvrivishvili said, who is participating in the 2023 World Tourism Day event in Saudi Arabia. Maia Omiadze, head of the National Tourism Administration, is also present at the event.
"Georgia continues to be an interesting and attractive tourist destination in the world. The status of the host of the World Tourism Day will give you the opportunity to meet 3000 leaders from the tourism industry and the aviation sector in our country next year. We will be able to represent Georgia's tourism and investment potential. With this victory, we have taken another step towards the recognition of Georgia, increasing its awareness and, most importantly, strengthening the tourism industry of our country," said Mariam Kvrivishvili.
The Deputy Minister informed the public attending the Forum of Tourism Leaders about the event related to the celebration of the World Tourism Day in 2024 in Georgia. The Georgian delegation also participated in various working sessions and bilateral meetings.
